Repel flies and all creepy crawlies with this safe, natural spray, here we show you how to build your own safe and effective all-natural fly trap!
By using basic instincts against of odor and light will actually draw them into the trap. They can be disposed of at your convenience.
1. FRUIT TRAP
This trap captures them effectively. You need to put rotting/semi-rotting fruit in a bowl!
- Fruit, overripe or rotten
- Plastic wrap
- A pair of scissors
In a bowl place chopped up rotten fruit. Whatever rotten fruit you’ll be using peel and chop up. Before placing it in the bowl break it into pieces so you can attract the flies. With plastic wrap cover the bowl. Over the top of the bowl stretch the plastic wrap.
Into the plastic wrap poke several holes using a toothpick and allow the smell of the rotten fruit to escape. They will be attracted to the smell. Wherever you need to put the fruit trap. In order to kill the flies put the whole bowl into soapy water for several minutes. You need to rinse the bowl and set the trap again. Prepare several traps and place them around your home.
2. APPLE CIDER VINEGAR TRAP
Apple cider vinegar that is fermenting fruit is a delicacy for flies. Flies can be lured with ACV.
By adding a little bit of dish soap to the ACV, it will be deadlier. The liquid surface tension will be broken by the dish soap and it will make the flies sink on contact and eliminate any chance of survival.
- 1 tablespoon liquid dish soap – flies sink and drown in dish soap
- Mason jar
- Plastic wrap
- 2 cups apple cider vinegar (we recommend this) – smell of ACV attracts flies
Make a mixture of ACV and dish soap in a Mason jar Into a Mason jar pour 2 cups of ACV. Into it add 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap. With plastic wrap secure the mouth of the jar Over the mouth of the Mason jar stretch a piece of plastic wrap to seal it completely. Into the plastic wrap poke, several holes With a toothpick make multiple punctures and ACV smell will trap them. Wherever you want to place the trap. Get rid of flies and clean the jar.
3. CLOVES AND LEMON SPRAY (REPELLENT)
Flies can’t stand cloves scent. But when combined with lemon, you get an all-natural fly repellent.
I use this in summer time, first I put it on and around the table than I’m serving food on the deck
Into the pulp of the lemon: stuff the cloves
Into halves cut the fresh lemon.
Into the pulp of the lemon halves stick the cloves, while you’re keeping the bulbs on the surface.
